A low, globe-shaped cactus with raised tubercles, which give the cactus a nearly pineapple-like appearance. The cactus is brown and mostly spineless, with a tuft of fuzzy white hair at the top. Around the tuft, there are some short black spines.

Copiapoa hypogaea, 4-inch
$ 8.00 - $ 8.00

Copiapoa hypogaea is an interesting species of cactus native to Northern Chile. Unlike many cacti, this cactus gets its moisture not from rainfall, but from coastal fog. It is suggested that Copiapoa caretakers mist their Copiapoa in the morning during the summer, before the temperatures heat up, in order to emulate these foggy conditions. However, our growers care for this cactus with standard arid cactus care without issues. Hardy down to 30 degrees F!

You will receive a healthy, well-rooted Copiapoa hypogaea in a 4-inch plastic pot.
