Melocactus matazanus is an extremely popular cactus for its cephalium, a patch which grows on top of the cactus where seed pods appear! These seed pods look like hot pink peppers, which are a lot of fun to pluck out and germinate. In the wild, this cactus is critically endangered due to habitat degradation, but are somewhat easy to find in cultivation! Hardy down to about 50 degrees F.

You will receive a healthy, well-rooted Melocactus matazanus in a plastic pot in the size of your choice.
