Peperomia ferreyrae 'String Bean' features a whorl of long, slim, inwardly curled leaves that look a lot like string beans. This leads to some charming nicknames like long bean plant and happy beans plant. Native to rocky soils in Peru, this succulent Peperomia thrives in moderate, indoor conditions. Temperatures ranging between 65-75ºF (18-24ºC) are ideal, with bright, indirect light. Use fast-draining succulent soil, and water only when the soil is dry.
If the succulent stems of your Peperomia ferreyrae 'String Bean plant should snap, simply stick it into dry succulent soil and it will root to form a whole new plant. Happy beans for everyone!
